Twitter reacts to Celtic manager’s resignation
In a brief statement earlier today, Neil Lennon announced that he had left Celtic after four years as manager. The 42-year old Northern Irishman led the club to three Scottish Premier League titles and two Scottish Cup successes in his time at Parkhead.
Lennon’s representative Martin Reilly stressed that his client “has nothing lined up” and that “he just feels now is the time to move on to the next challenge.” However, the forty two year old is believed to have been concerned by the budget at his disposal to strengthen the squad.
After the news broke, numerous Celtic fans took to Twitter to pay tribute to Lennon.
Others have already begun to speculate over the Northern Irishman’s next managerial post.
However, some have already begun to cast doubts over Lennon’s managerial capabilities.
In any case, it will be interesting to not only see where Lennon ends up but also who ends up replacing him at Celtic. At the time of writing, Henrik Larsson and David Moyes are two names being strongly linked with the post.
